Relation with the Board of ASC

To stimulate the cross-exchange between ASC and ESAS a common resolution for a mutual exchange of board members has been agreed by both Boards

It is hereby resolved that there be a mutual exchange of 2 Board members with full voting rights, and with the term of each exchange Board member to be 2 years. This action is to be taken in order to stimulate communication and cooperation between the two Boards. The exchange is designed to facilitate the organization of common activities such as topical conferences to be held in conjunction with the EUCAS or ASC, and would stimulate a stronger international platform for Applied Superconductivity.
The exchanged Board members should be selected with the understanding that their special role will be to foster closer ties between the ESAS and ASC. It is expected that these persons would be present at all Board meetings. The ESAS meetings in general are held at the time of the EUCAS and ASC meetings, with typically one additional meeting over a two-year period. The ASC Board meetings are held at the time of the ASC and CEC/ICMC meetings, with one additional meeting in the spring of the year an ASC is held (and in conjunction with formulation of the final ASC program). Travel costs in conjunction with Board meetings in which an exchange member participates, should be the responsibility of the respective home organization or a Board member's employer.
