Organization

The European Society for Applied Superconductivity (ESAS) is a society legally established in Enschede/Netherlands with a tax exempt status. It is registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Enschede (KvK Enschede ). Its statutes are approved and can be amended by a General Assembly of the ESAS members.

Board members are elected by a General Assembly for a duration of 6 years, taking into account rules of a profile, which reflects the relation of ESAS with CONECTUS, ASC , Asia and the actual EUCAS conference organizers.

The Board elects a president, a secretary and a treasurer for a duration of 4 years.

The Board meets at least once a year, but with much electronic communication in between. It also prepares an annual General Assembly of the ESAS members where the Board reports on its management of the Association and asks for approval of the account and make proposals for needed decisions.
